Every recruit embarks on an intensive two-week training program before undergoing a Clinical Skills Assessment led by our senior clinical teams. This ensures every team member meets HASCS’ high standards before heading into the field.

What Does Our Training Cover?
In-depth Clinical & Specialist Training, including:
- Mandatory Training – Basic Life Support, Moving & Handling, Medication Administration & Management
- Specialist Skills – Tracheostomy Care, Invasive & Non-Invasive Ventilation, Cough Assist, O2 & Airway Management
- Neurological & Complex Needs – Epilepsy & Seizure Management, Autonomic Dysreflexia, DRE & DRF
- Clinical Observation – Vital Signs Monitoring, MAR & PASS Documentation
- Professional Practice – Effective Communication, Documentation & Managing Challenging Behaviour
Ongoing Competency & Development
But training doesn’t stop after the assessment. Once our new team members are actively working in their care packages, they receive service user-specific training and are signed off on their competencies to ensure they are fully prepared for the unique needs of everyone.
