Expanding our services beyond the home

At HASCS, we know that truly great care goes beyond responding to needs, it’s about anticipating them. Every day, our teams rise to complex challenges others might see as impossible, proving repeatedly that with collaboration, skill, and compassion, anything is possible.

That belief sits at the heart of our latest milestone: expanding our services beyond the home and into the classroom through our new partnership with Curnow School in Cornwall.

How It All Began

This collaboration started with a single care package. Our rapid mobilisation team was called upon to deliver complex care support for a pupil attending Curnow School. The headteacher and school leadership team recognised the difference our approach made.

For many young people with complex needs, maintaining access to education can be a challenge. It takes skilled, trusted professionals who understand both clinical care and the importance of nurturing independence and confidence in an educational setting. Through this partnership, HASCS is proud to help students at Curnow School thrive, ensuring their health, safety, and dignity are prioritised while supporting their learning and personal growth. It’s an opportunity to support the fantastic work the school does daily and show that complex care, when delivered collaboratively, can empower students rather than limit them.

Behind the Scenes: Preparation and Expertise

The success of our rapid mobilisation and in-school support wouldn’t be possible without the preparation that takes place long before care begins. Our carers undergo extensive specialist training in areas such as positive behaviour support, clinical procedures, and risk management. Every mobilisation is planned in detail, from medical protocols to communication strategies, so that by the time we walk through the school doors, every risk is managed and every individual supported.

This seamless integration of healthcare and education demonstrates the strength of our complex care expertise. It’s more than just delivering care, it’s about partnership, trust, and empowerment.

Looking Ahead

This milestone at Curnow School represents more than a service expansion. By working hand-in-hand with schools, families, and local professionals, we’re helping create environments where every young person can access both high-quality care and meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.

Each partnership, each mobilisation, and each success reinforces our core belief: there’s no such thing as impossible. Together, we’re turning every new challenge into another Mission I’m Possible.
