On Saturday, 14th June 2025, we’re coming together to support Brecon’s Forever Home Fund — a vital cause to help secure a safe, permanent home for Brecon, a young man with complex medical needs. We’ll be coming together for a HASCS Hike, walking the beautiful Brockenhurst and the Tall Trees Trail in the New Forest — a scenic 15km circular route through ancient woodland and wild ponies! 🐴🌲
About the Cause
Many of you know Brecon, or Brecs, (BP) and his family’s journey. Brecon was born with a rare chromosome disorder, dup15q syndrome, leading to complex medical and care needs. As he approaches adulthood, securing a safe, permanent home is crucial for his well-being and future. The Walk
We’ll be taking on the Brockenhurst and the Tall Trees Trail Circular in the New Forest – a scenic, mostly flat 15km route through beautiful woodland, home to wild ponies and towering redwoods. The walk is suitable for most abilities, with plenty of rest stops and lovely views along the way. Dogs are welcome, but please be mindful of the length of the walk and the weather on the day.

- Date: Saturday 14th June 2025
- Start Time: Meet at 9:30am, walk to begin at 10am
- Meeting Point: Brockenhurst Train Station (paid parking available at the station, free parking nearby)
- Distance: 15km (approx. 4.5–5hours, with breaks)
- Trail Info: Mostly flat, gravel paths, some short road sections, suitable for most walkers
- Followed by late lunch at The Snake Catcher pub
