We’re looking for a dedicated carer to provide one-to-one support for a child with complex care needs in a school setting in Crawley (RH11). This role is all about making school a safe, positive, and engaging environment where the child can thrive both academically and socially.
You’ll be working closely with the school, and our experienced nursing team, who’ll ensure you have full, client-specific training before you start. Every day will bring new moments of connection and achievement; whether it’s supporting learning, promoting independence, or being a reassuring presence during the school day.

Role Responsibilities
As a school healthcare assistant in this package of care you will:
- Support your service user with their physical care needs, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
- Deliver person-centered care according to bespoke care plans.
- Promote independence and respect each service users spiritual, psychological, and cultural needs.
- Maintain accurate care records.
- Assist with communication between patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Administer prescribed medication or clinical tasks after completing our advanced training and competency sign off.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the Regional Nurse Manager.
- Contribute to a supportive, high-standard care environment.
Clinical Skills
Please note that whilst experience in these areas are desirable, we will provide service user specific training.
1. Nasogastric tube placement checks and safety checks
2. Blood glucose monitoring (including CGM)
3. Emergency response
4. Vital signs and observations

Pay Rates
- £14.00/hour flat rate (Mon to Fri)
- £26.00/hour (Bank Holiday)
Working Pattern
- Term time only (Fixed term contract)
- 08:45 to 15:15 (Mon to Fri)
