At HASCS, we know that outstanding care is never delivered by one person alone. It is built through teamwork, consistency, and shared responsibility. Every day, our care teams work together to support individuals with complex needs, balancing clinical excellence with compassion, dignity, and respect.
We are proud to introduce the Together in Care Award. This award has been created to recognise the teams who make a genuine difference through the way they work together, not just in what they do, but how they do it.
Why teamwork matters in complex care
Delivering complex care in the home requires more than technical skill. It demands strong, stable teams who understand each individual, their routines, and their preferences. It also requires trust between carers, families, and professionals, built over time through consistent, collaborative working.
At HASCS, collaboration is not just encouraged, it is a core part of how we deliver care. We work in partnership with families, professionals, and each other to ensure every package of care is safe, responsive, and truly person-centred.
When teams support each other well, the impact is clear. Care becomes more consistent. Communication improves. Most importantly, the people we support experience care that feels more personal, more respectful, and more aligned with how they want to live their lives.
What the Together in Care Award recognises
This award celebrates care teams who go beyond the expected. Not through grand gestures, but through the everyday moments that define excellent care.
We are recognising teams who:
- Support and uplift each other, creating a positive and reliable working environment
- Build strong, meaningful relationships with the people they support
- Show compassion, respect, and professionalism in every interaction
- Deliver care that reflects both clinical quality and genuine understanding
These are the qualities that sit at the heart of everything we do as an organisation. They reflect our commitment to being collaborative, responsive, and responsible in the way we deliver care.
Who can be nominated
The Together in Care Award is open to our care teams working out in the community. These are the teams delivering care where it matters most, in people’s homes, education settings, and everyday environments.
Their work often happens quietly, behind the scenes, but its impact is life-changing. This award is an opportunity to bring that work into the spotlight and recognise the teams who consistently go above and beyond.
Office staff are also encouraged to take part by nominating the teams they see making a real difference. Whether through direct collaboration or feedback from families and professionals, your insight matters.
How to nominate
Nominations are now open.

Celebrating the power of working together
At HASCS, care is a privilege. It is also a shared responsibility. The Together in Care Award is about recognising that when people come together with the right values, the right support, and a shared goal, the results can be transformative.
We look forward to celebrating the teams who embody this every day, and to recognising the collective effort that sits behind outstanding care.
Together, we are changing lives, one team at a time.
